We collect small initiatives that use open timetables, routes, and delays to make travel easier.
What interests us
- Timetables & ticketing: Easier cross-border train searches and direct booking.
- Night trains: Supporting a smarter way to travel overnight.
- The nerdy stuff: Rolling stock, hidden infrastructure gems, and places worth a railfan detour.
Who are we
We are a group of people working in software development and the railway industry. We want to make travelling by rail more accessible.
Europe, by rail
A few main lines. Many possible journeys. Select a city to explore its connections.
━ Long-distance ┄ Night train ◎ Major hub
Selected corridors, not a complete network. Geography and intermediate stops are simplified; crossings without a circle are not interchanges. Night train lines show the whole service, including daytime sections. Seasonal routes and selected operating days are explained in the city panels. Check operators for travel dates and service changes.
About this map & sources
This is a curated overview, not a live timetable. Connections in each city panel follow the map; they are not an exhaustive list of departures. Major hubs are editorially selected interchanges. City nodes group stations in the same urban area: a connection may require a local transfer. The operator links and service notes identify the relevant stations. Routes with several city stops list the other selected stops served by that train.
Basel is shown on the Nightjet corridors between Zurich and Hamburg, Berlin or Amsterdam. Reference: SBB Nightjet. Basel SBB and Basel Bad Bf are grouped in one city node.
Network references: Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn, SBB, ÖBB, SNCF, Trenitalia and Nightjet. Night routes cross-checked against Nightjet’s Zurich and Vienna destination pages on 16 October 2026.
Scandinavia and additional night trains: Night Ride, European Sleeper timetables, RDC EuroNight timetables, Snälltåget to Berlin, Snälltåget to Storlien, Snälltåget to Austria, Hamburg–Stockholm daytime train, Malmö–Oslo daytime train, Vy, SJ Nord and SJ. Checked on 16 October 2026. No announced future European Sleeper routes to Scandinavia are shown.
